October Update: I’ve been working on finishing my characters’ designs and my setting design before I start making comic pages. In my previous comics I started the pages without much of that design-work first, and it ultimately slowed me down. This time around I’m experimenting with finishing it first so that I can focus fully on page composition when drawing pages.
The drawing above is of some skeleton frames I drew recently. Skeleton frames are a method for figuring out poses when you don’t have photo reference. I find them fast and fun to draw.
Other Pelkern news: In my August email newsletter I talked about measuring progress by process rather than by immediate results. In my October email newsletter I talked about the One in Three principle (perfection versus reality).
Thanks for reading! See you in December.
