I have had a crazy and stressful past week, and wasn’t able to finish Page 6. Instead, I am posting an overview of my comic process, using the 2nd panel of Page 2 as an example. Page 6 will go up next week as usual. For making comics, I start by taking a planning… Continue reading Pelkern Cycle — Drawing Process A

More concept Art this week: These are the sketches of the two characters in Page 5 (and the next few pages) that I drew when I was designing the cast of characters for this comic. Artor is the one built like a grizzly bear. Myles is a Blacksmith, so he has a Blacksmithing apron and… Continue reading Pelkern Cycle — Concept Art for Artor and Myles
We are in the midst of moving to a new house, so I am posting concept art this week instead of Page 8. Here is Ace and Carolyn, two of the main characters in the comic. Ace is Artor’s grandson (Ace is the baby in Page 2, actually), and Carolyn is Myles’s daughter.

In the meantime, here is an old cover design for The Pelkern Cycle with fun mythological creatures. This is from 2012 (6 years ago at the time of this… Continue reading Old Comic Cover from 2012

Stay tuned, new page next week! This is a rock formation photo I took while holding my camera down close… Continue reading Rock Formation 2
I will be posting Page 22 next week. Here is a preview: In panel 4, the setting has window blinds, so here are some of the perspective lines I’ve made to get the window blinds right.
